About Michaela

Michaela is a junior at Pomona College which is located in Claremont, CA. She is pursuing a BA in Politics with a subfield concentration in the comparative politics of the African Diaspora. Her interest in Politics began at a very young age when she witnessed her mother and older sister wake up early to vote and volunteer at the polls in New York City. At Pomona, Michaela is involved in the school’s GOTV initiatives.

When she’s not studying or in the classroom, Michaela enjoys singing and making music that explores the many intersections of her identity, deconstructs the process of categorizing people, bodies, and ideas, and practices self love. She released her EP titled “Naturally Me” on all streaming platforms and currently has a new single “Unavailable” out on all streaming platforms.
